Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and driven to the Masai Mara National Reserve via a scenic route along the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for a fantastic sightseeing break. The Great Rift Valley offers breathtaking natural scenery, making it a highlight of any trip to Kenya.The journey then continues to the Masai Mara. This vast reserve is part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, famously known for the spectacular great migration, and it is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. Lunch will be served at camp, with time to relax before departing on an afternoon game drive.Other animals found in the reserve include Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland, impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson's and Grant's gazelle.

Day 2 - Full-day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. On the plains, you may encounter large herds of herbivores grazing, while cheetah and leopard remain hidden in the grasslands. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas. An impressive 95 species of mammal, amphibian, and reptile, along with more than 400 bird species, have been recorded in the reserve.Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason that visitors rarely miss the chance to see the Big Five. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site before continuing to the Mara River migration point. Later in the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner.

Day 3 - Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

After a full breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt Longonot and Lake Naivasha, with the option to take a boat ride for USD 20. Continue to Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch, with a game drive en route to spot leopard, which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru National Park.After lunch, set out on another game drive to seek out the two species of rhino found here, black and white rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park is also famous for its rich birdlife, including thousands of flamingos.Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel.

Day 4 - Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, stopping in Nairobi for a hot lunch. You will arrive at Amboseli in the late evening.Amboseli is famous for its scenery, with the snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro dominating the landscape and open plains.Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge or camp.

Day 5 - Full-day Game Drive in Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park with a packed lunch. You will track the park's popular residents, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos and a variety of predators. Capture breathtaking photos of Mt Kilimanjaro as it rises above the savannah. The combination of wildlife and scenery in Amboseli is truly unmatched.

Day 6 - Amboseli National Park to Arusha

Begin the day with an early game drive in the swampy areas of the park, where you can see a variety of herbivore wallowing in the muddy pools, including hippo and large elephant with their young. Afterward, return to the camp for breakfast before checking out and driving to the Namanga border, where you will catch a shuttle bus to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will meet your driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha, booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Day 7 - Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast herds of elephant and iconic baobab trees. As you enter the park, you will be greeted by the sight of these gentle giants roaming freely against a backdrop of striking landscapes. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, zebras and an array of bird species.Enjoy a full day of game drives, exploring the diverse terrain and spotting wildlife in their natural habitat. As the sun sets, you will head to your lodge for a restful night under the African stars.

Day 8 - Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at your camp, enjoy a morning game drive before departing for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, one of the most renowned safari destinations in the world. The Serengeti is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including the Big Five.Your day will be filled with thrilling game drives across the park's sweeping savannahs, with a picnic lunch in the wild. In the afternoon, continue to your accommodation for a comfortable overnight stay and dinner beneath the African sky.

Day 9 - Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast at the camp, depart with picnic lunches for at least a six-hour game drive within Serengeti National Park. Here you will track wildlife such as wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, lion, lioness, black rhino, cheetah, leopard, hyena, bushbuck, lesser kudu, wild dog, kongoni, impala, Grant's gazelle, black-backed jackal, mongoose, olive baboon and vervet monkeys.By noon, leave the park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge at an additional cost of $35 per person. By evening, you will arrive at the conservancy area for dinner and an overnight stay at Simba Camp.

Day 10 - Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast at the camp, depart for a game drive within the Ngorongoro Crater, descending to the floor with the chance to see lion, elephant, black rhino, blue wildebeest, leopard, cheetah and hyena. You may also spot wild dog, Grant's zebra, African buffalo and hippos near the crater rim.Enjoy a picnic lunch at the rim before ascending to the main gate. After six hours in the crater, exit and drive to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 11 - Arusha to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of the hotel by 7:30am and either transfer to Arusha Airport or catch a shuttle back to Nairobi. If you return to Nairobi, you will meet our staff, share your experience, and then be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your journey home or onward to another destination.
